Meet the Blogger – Attempt 2!

Meet the Pet Bloggers Hop

Something in blogville does not want me to join in with this hop, which is a little worrying because it is my very first blog hop and I am already a little freaked out about the entire experience. it started when I wrote a very witty, well hell your never going to read it, a brilliant blog post all about me. It would have made you laugh, cry and every emotion in between. I had almost completed this literary work of art when my stupid computer crashed and the entire thing was lost. Anywho…

Firstly a picture:
Personal 318

This picture would been the correct way around and with a witty caption, but it was organising this that lead to the crash. I am not playing that game again so I am afraid you are going to have to turn your head. Giggles to herself at the idea of you all turning your head sideways to see the picture – sorry folks it’s been that kind of a day!

I struggled long and hard as to whether or not I was going to join into this blog hop. It was the picture part that put me off; Share a picture of you. You see I don’t mind you seeing the millions of bad photos of myself I have (yes I am one of those people who always finds a flaw) but my hesitation was over people being able to identify the people I am writing about because if you can identify me then the chances are you can identify them. Now, I only share information about people which is relevant to the situation I have found myself in. For example I would never share that my mum has started to refer to my sister and I as Penny and Amy, not due to a senior moment because she thinks I look like Penny from the big bang theory and my sister is slowly morphing into Amy. But I have signed up to and control what I am sharing, they have not.

when watching this episode mum did say that this could be a family photo - I was amused, the sister not so much!

I did consider completely flouting the rules but I am too afraid of getting told off to do that and so you have a slightly blurry, uncaptioned, unorientated photo of me – enjoy!

So now to the questions I had to answer at least five, but because I am an open book and tend to over share:

◦What’s your favourite non-animal related book?
I don’t have one, I cant’ re-read books and so when I have read one I give it to a charity shop and move on. However as a child I did love the folk of the faraway tree and the little princess so can I say those?

◦What’s your favourite non-animal related movie?
City of Angels – I always put it on when I need a good cry.

◦What’s your favourite non-animal related food?
Prawns and Smoked Salmon. I once had a fight with an ex (pre-OH) and he turned up on my doorstep with prawns and smoked salmon by way of an apology.

◦Who’s your favourite actor?
Is it wrong to say Jonny Depp, but not because I think he is good looking (not that I would kick him out of bed) but because he becomes the character so completely.

◦What’s one thing you have to do every day?
Kiss whoever I live with goodbye before I head out the door. This is something that my mother used to nag me about as a teenager, but when I had a house with OH it was one of the rules I took with me and realised how important it is.

◦What makes you feel fabulous?
I’m sorry but it is spending time with BD and Mity. I wish I was the person they thought I was and to look in their eyes and see their love for me. Recently it has been these two that have comforted me and given me a reason to get out of bed.

◦What do you wish you were more skilled at?
I wish I was more artistic. I have such good intentions but struggle to draw a stick man!

◦What’s your favourite holiday?
Now having read a few other ‘meet the blogger’ posts they have said things like Valentines day, I was going to say visiting France with OH and BD.
◦favourite meal?
Anything with Prawns and Smoked Salmon – see above!

◦What do you like to do in your free time?
I am heavily involved in Amateur Dramatics (yes I am one of those people) and I loved to sing, watch movies and go out with my friends!

◦What one word would people who know you use to describe you?
Dittzy, sometimes the blondeness takes over.

So that’s me. A massive thank you to the creators of this blog hop I would link to you but I am having massive internet issues so please forgive me.

  1. Great to meet you through the hop! I also took the same interpretation of ‘favourite holiday’ – ahh well. I’ve lost a post, but more commonly comments, due to technical issues. They’re never fun – I sympathize.

    • Don’t even get me started on the comments that I am missing – the little box that flashes orange on the top left of the screen shows me nothing but grey every time I click onto it! grrr

  2. I totally just tilted my head, as you predicted. 🙂

I love both Penny and Amy on that show – Mayim Bialik is awesome!

You know, you’re not the only one to interpret holiday that way – I’ve seen a few others too. I like seeing both kinds of answers and it’s interesting that some of us read the question differently.

I’m glad you decided to join in – from one ditzy blonde to another! 🙂

    • Thank you very much! How lovely to meet you too. I feel I should have started with”Hi, My name is Lauranne and it’s not easy being me!” At least you won’t have high hopes going forwards :0)

  3. I didn’t do the head tilt. So cool that you and your sister resemble Penny and Amy from the Big Bang Theory. I totally love that show, too. Johnny Depp really is an awesome actor. I had such a crush on him when I was in high school, back when he played Tommy on 21 Jump Street. I lost interest in him after he did the crazy scissorhand movie and some other movies I thought were weird. But he got my attention again as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Now I understand why you don’t like to show your picture. That’s thoughtful of you for protecting your family and friends.

    • I love captain Jack – however I did not like the start of Sweeny Todd as he appeared on the screen, looking like Captain Jack, moved through the smoke and burst into song. I couldn’t cope with that!!

  4. So you lost a blog post, huh? That means you’re a real blogger now. We’ve all had it happen to us.

    Sorry.

But glad you found a way to join the hop that worked for you. It was fun.

  5. Why on earth would an actor be a favorite because of how he looks? Well, I get that. But being an actor is about acting. Great choice, Depp. Great responses to the questions! Nice to meet you. 🙂

    • And you too! It’s been great fun getting to meet so many new people. I agree completely that acting should be about acting but I can name a few people who I think it is more a case of who they know, how they look or who they are sleeping with!

  6. Thanks for trying again. We have, indeed, probably all lost a post here and there. And of course, it’s always THE BEST post. That is just how technology works. (Trust me. 😉 But I’m glad you tried again because it was lovely to read your answers. And yes, just like a silly pup, I sat here tilting my head to get a bead on your picture. 😉

I love that you have to kiss who ever you live with before leaving the house. I embarrass Jan all the time because even if he’s hanging with his manly men friends, I still have to kiss him goodbye if I am leaving. It’s a thing.

  7. I am so sorry you had so much trouble joining the hop. You weren’t the only one having issues. Several of the hosts did as well. However, since you did have trouble you also got me to laugh. I turned my head sideways to look at the photo. 😀

Loved your post. Very humorous. Very nice to meet you!

  8. Nice to meet you.I wish I was the person my pets thought I was, too.

And kudos to you for persisting even though the interweb gremlins were plotting against you. (I hate when that happens!)

  9. I’m still trying to get around to all of the posts – thanks for joining in 🙂 Sorry you lost a blog post – I’m certain that it was your best work (that’s always the case, isn’t it?) Johnny Depp . . .good looking AND an amazing actor – great choice! Nice to meet you!

  10. Ah yes, we’ve all had that happen. I’ve actually deleted an entire (absolutely witty and entertaining) post quite by accident. That’s when I go, “NO, NO, NO! UGH!!” LOL I try to always hit ‘save draft’ just so it’s not entirely lost. Do you have that option?

Love the Big Bang Theory so does your mom think you two look or act like Penny and Amy?

Thanks so much for joining the blog hop! It was great to learn a bit more about you.
